about holo//memory

it's me, holo//memory aka anri paul hennies, and this is my personal website where i post anything i want! :D
i've had websites since i was a teenager in the 90s and i began writing journal/blog articles in the mid 2000s when i studied scandinavian and finnish languages at the university of greifswald and met one or two people from the local literary community. we were mainly posting on livejournal and i loved it. i moved to berlin in 2008 for an internship at the finnland-institut of berlin and to finish my studies at the humboldt university of berlin. for this, i had to select a minor and i chose gender studies kind of randomly (it sounded interesting) (and it was interesting). i got my b.a., looked into other studies (information and library science, cultural studies, psychology—but nothing clicked like gender studies), worked some odd jobs and some not-so-odd jobs, wrote short stories and a novel or two, made experimental music in my bedroom, had a tape label and several netlabels, sewed cute monster plushies, took hundreds (more like thousands) of photos with my analogue cameras, drew comic strips, completed a ui/ux course, learned how to handpoke, realised i'm a neurodivergent queer alien...
at the moment, i'm working on a second video game with my best friend at our tiny indie game studio owly crow while doing my master's in gender studies at my alma mater, and working the coolest part-time job at mnt.
